Delta Airlines will no longer charge passengers for changing flights within the United States. International flights from the U.S. are exempted from this fee. If your flight is more expensive, you'll have to pay the difference. The fee waiver does not apply Basic Economics tickets that cannot be cancelled, changed, or transferred - unless they are subject to Delta's 2020 Basic Economy Changeability Wiver (explained later).
Delta Airlines flight changes policy allows you the ability to change your flight (date/time and/or destinations) or apply for a refund in eCredit form in certain cases.

- All flights between the United States, Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean were exempted of change fees, incl. Basic Economy tickets can be booked until April 30, 2021.
- Refundable tickets are available for change up to 24hours before departure. You will still have to pay the applicable fare.
- When a reservation is made for a award ticket, you will not be charged any change fees if it is modified prior to departure.
- Puerto Rico and U.S Virgin Islands can be found in the United States.
- Fly internationally to North America.
- You can change your flight within 24 hours of departing from the United States or Puerto Rico for a fee of USD 75. For Gold Medallion Members, Gold Medallion, Diamond or Gold Platinum , same-day change are available for a fee of USD 75. For international flight tickets, and Basis Economy flights, same-day modifications are not possible. Refer to the Delta Airlines Same-Day Fly Change Policy above for more information.
- The expiry date for all tickets purchased or expired in 2021 has been extended to December 31, 2020.
- All passengers will be affected by any changes made to an existing flight booking that you make online.
- The third party may charge you an additional fee for changing a ticket.

Delta Airlines offers Basic Economy tickets that allow you to make a flight change.
Delta Airlines waived the charge for changing Basic Economy tickets from December 31st, 2021 to include. Basic Economy tickets are not changeable. However you can make any changes to any Basic Economy plane ticket during this period without paying a flight fee.
There are options. Your options. Alternately, you can cancel it to get a credit of the full price of your ticket. Book your rebooking by December 31,2021 so that you can begin your travels by December 31, 222. If your new ticket is less expensive than the first, you will be given a credit for any difference. You can then redeem this credit for future travel. If the flight you choose is more expensive, you'll have to pay that difference.
This waiver, also known by the 2021 Basis Economy Changeability Waiver is temporary. It applies only to Delta tickets.

You can make any changes to all tickets (except Basic economy) without paying any fee.
This applies to:
- Tickets from North America to other parts of the globe
- Tickets from the Caribbean to North America (both ways)
- Basic Ecconomy tickets that fall within Delta's 2021 Basic Economy Changeability Waiver.
Delta Airlines Flight Adjustment Policy - Other than North America
Delta has temporarily waived any flight change fee for trips that originate outside North America and were purchased prior to May 1, 2021. This means that you are free to change any flight from North America, even if the flight is not in your itinerary. The change fee waiver applies only to all fare categories except Basic Economics;however certain BasicEconomy ticket can be changed for an additional fee, according to the instructions included on your ticket.
Delta Airlines Same-Day Flight Change Policy
Delta offers same-day flight ticket changes within 24 hour of your original departure time. These same-day changes can only be made if there are seats available.
- You can travel the same flight class and route in the same Main Cabin cabin seat.
- To flights within United States, Puerto Rico, U.S Virgin Islands.

Same-Day Upgrades
Delta's same day standby upgrade option allows you to upgrade your seats for a small fee. However, space availability may be a concern. This option can only be used for:
